Bookshelves provide storage and privacy. Other side could be made as storage shelves too. If shelves are extended, it would provide an ESSENTIAL safety feature!! Since the loft in my TH will only be used for guests, I would like to turn the sleeping area on it horizontally to avoid blocking so much light! I am not putting more than a double mattress up there!!
